Cameron Costabel is a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) where she is currently pursuing a BFA in illustration. Living in a dorm in New York City was a big transition from growing up in the Hudson Valley Region of New York, but she loves the opportunities and excitement that the city holds. In her next two years at FIT, she looks forward to honing her skills to target the commercial market as well as broadening connections with private clients.
Her artwork does not have a specific style or common medium. She loves to explore and challenge herself with new styles and techniques; however, she leans toward realism and finds strength in detailed works. Cameron exhibited work for four months at Seven21 Media Center in Kingston, NY and successfully sold a bulk of her pieces. She also does work on commission whenever she can. She creates custom tattoo designs and also collaborates with clients to create pieces of artwork that are meaningful to them. |
What do you try to inspire in others through your art?
My artwork provides a way for my clients to create tangible connections with the things that matter the most to them. It gives people another way to share their own unique self-expression. I strive to help them to expand their personalities for others to view in a private or business forum. I believe it can make their lives more meaningful.
