FEATURED EMERGING ARTISTS
What moment are you most proud of at this point in your career?
"A moment I’m most proud of at this point in my career is seeing the faces of high schoolers in Madeira, Portugal as we performed for them. The excitement and the genuine love for music was apparent on their faces, and I am so grateful that being a part of the world of music in this way has led me to experience moments such as this one." |
What moment are you most proud of at this point in your career?
"At this point in my career, I am just proud of how far I’ve come as an artist and individual. This isn’t me claiming to be a professional. I will always have plenty to learn and skills to master. When I can look back at my old projects, I can see the immense growth. In college, I plan to take advantage of the guidance and feedback I receive from my peers and professors. My goal is to continue striving to become the artist I want to be and to create works I’m satisfied with – those I hope to share with the world." |

Filmmaker What moment are you most proud of at this point in your career? ATX Short Film Fest. I did not attend most of the festivals that my film made its way to due to concerns regarding the pandemic, but this smaller festival, which took place less than ten minutes from my apartment, seemed like a good opportunity for me to dip my toes in the water. I had never been in the room while one of my films was being screened before. I had never been asked what my films meant to me, what I wanted them to achieve, what my process was like. When I actually started to engage in conversations with people who viewed my film, I gained this intense sense of fulfillment and purpose which hadn't been there thus far. Those conversations were the absolute most valuable thing the film has brought into my life, and I will take every opportunity I can to continue that long, amazing, emotional and terrifying conversation every director wants to have with her audience, simplified by one question: ‘Do you feel the way I do?’ |
