FEATURED ARTISTS: 2018 "FOCUS ON YOUTH" ISSUE
Leslie Merced
Dancer (Plainfield, NJ) In 2028...
I see myself dancing in a professional dance company and in the process of getting a studio opened where I can train youth to help them make their dreams reality. Most importantly, as a Latina in the dance industry, I want to inspire the young Latina community - to show them that they too can become professional dancers. To achieve this, I plan to integrate my Puerto Rican culture with my choreography and hope that my story resonates in the hearts of my audience. |
Shannon Ramos
Illustrator & Business Owner (New York, NY) In 2028...
As an artist, I am constantly evolving, so with every piece that is completed, I am introduced to a new version of myself and my artistic ability. In 10 years, I hope to see my work in a way I never felt imaginable. My interests in the illustration industry include books, comics and editorial work to apparel, murals, and tattoo design. I hope to continue to push myself in all directions of creative expression. My dream is to be a professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology. |
Valerie Warntz

I definitely see myself as a worldwide superstar with millions of fans. I think I will have released about a half dozen albums by this time, and I will be touring around the world. I’m pretty sure I will try different genres in the future, too. |
