Shannon Ramos is a recent graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology earning a B.F.A. in Illustration and Art History. Shannon's work conveys a dark and moody spin on life and beauty to visually transcend emotion with edge, attitude, and its own take on fashion and pop culture.
For the past three years, she has established a brand and freelance art business under the name XMoneysignx. X$X is a creative outlet of original illustrations in a variety of mediums, from hand-painted jackets and screen-printed apparel to custom art prints, line drawings and oil paintings. She has exhibited with Raw Artists NYC, competed in Art Battle International, participated in variety shows in Brooklyn, illustrated for Complex Networks and was the featured artist at International Model and Talent Association. She is also known through social media platforms for her digital portraits that are available during seasonal occasions (Christmas, Valentine’s Day, etc.) X$X welcomes all commissions and collaborations. |
Each featured young woman was asked this same question:
Imagine you've just traveled through time, and you find yourself in the year 2028. Where are you, and what are you doing?
As an artist, I am constantly evolving, so with every piece that is completed, I am introduced to a new version of myself and my artistic ability. In 10 years, I hope to see my work in a way I never felt imaginable. My interests in the illustration industry include books, comics and editorial work to apparel, murals, and tattoo design. I hope to continue to push myself in all directions of creative expression. My dream is to be a professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
