Evelyn Brokering Ojai Valley School - CA Community Leader and Philanthropist |
"The thing I most appreciate about myself is not having fear. I was able to leave my country on my own to go to school in the United States because I was not afraid. Fear is not a reason not to do something. I have normal fears, like being afraid of the dark, but I am not afraid of opportunities. Not having fear allows me to go for anything."
* Evelyn adds, "This photo is a collaboration with my Japanese grandma who does Japanese calligraphy." |

"The thing I appreciate most about myself is my ability to make almost any situation fun. Whenever I am faced with a project or a situation that is not ideal, I do my best to find a way to make it a good time. It doesn't always work out, but I think trying to do that has made my life more positive overall. It has given me a lot of great experiences that I would not have had otherwise."
