Meet Christine: Christine Vogg is an area manager with Arbonne International who loves helping people live their very best life! Raised by a single mom with her brother and sister in Rochester, NY, her passion for helping others to have choices in their lives and never feel helpless or stuck is what drives her.
Building her business alongside of her position as an account executive with Brancaster Marketing, her focus on understanding the wants and needs of others and helping them to achieve their goals has earned her the reputation as a trusted partner in all aspects of her life. Currently residing in the beautiful Hudson Valley area of New York with her incredible husband Rob, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and contributing to organizations that focus on helping others. |
Myrna Haskell, managing editor, talked with Christine about her career as an Arbonne consultant, why she believes in the company’s products and how she is able to handle her client’s individual needs.
Could you tell me a bit about why you decided to sell Arbonne products?
I was first introduced to Arbonne in 2008, just after my mom had passed away from cancer and my dad a few years before that. Until then, I never really paid attention to the ingredients in the products I was using on my skin and how that could be affecting my health. I was using an expensive skincare line that I loved at the time, so when I was asked by an acquaintance to meet for coffee and try an Arbonne product sample, I reluctantly agreed. I had no intention of making any changes with my own products, but I liked this woman and wanted to help her - maybe by introducing her to others who might be interested. I took the sample home and didn’t try it for almost a week, but to my surprise, I noticed a difference immediately. I couldn’t believe how much healthier my skin looked after that very first time! The fact that the ingredients were safer than my current brand was also a plus, but the fact that my skin looked better…that did it for me.
What do you like about the company?
I value the company’s brand promise: Pure, Safe, and Beneficial products for the entire family. With so many of my friends and family suffering with allergies, autoimmune disorders, and so many other issues, I felt that there had to be a correlation to the ingredients, not just in the food that we eat, but also in the products we put on our skin. Could you tell me more about the way the business is set up?
Our founder decided to launch Arbonne as a network marketing company with a distribution system that allows the ability to leverage your time. You work part-time, which gives you the ability to have another full-time career or to focus on other priorities. The founder wanted to empower people by offering a career where they would be able to make a significant income, but still have the freedom and flexibility to concentrate on their families. In my case, I have a very demanding full-time job, so my time is limited. Arbonne allows me the ability to build a business while continuing to work in my present job. I am paid to share products that I love and to teach others how to redirect the money they are already spending on safer products from their own internet-based store.
Since Arbonne is internet-based, I am able to work whenever and wherever I choose, and Arbonne’s corporate office takes care of all of the not-so-fun stuff that a traditional business owner has to take care of – product development, clinical testing, website management, direct shipping to customers, etc. As my network of people who love and share the products grows, my income grows. More importantly, I love being a part of a company that is changing people’s lives with amazing products that are safe.
You are both a consultant and an area manager. How does one advance in the company?
There are four income levels within Arbonne. Everyone joins Arbonne at the consultant level, and anyone can reach the top of the company. As you share the products with more people and your network grows, you are promoted and your income grows exponentially.
The top level of the company is National Vice President. The person who sponsored me into the business is now at this level. There is room for everyone at the top, so the culture is supportive and encouraging. This is refreshing when compared to the often cut-throat world of corporate America.

Do you consult with your clients about their individual needs before you suggest specific products to them?
Absolutely! That’s my job! I use as many products as I can which allows me to make recommendations based on my own personal experience. In addition, I also have a huge network and an incredible support team of other Arbonne consultants around the world as well as resources through our corporate office. This enables me to make recommendations based on their experiences as well. Arbonne doesn’t spend money on traditional advertising campaigns – the company relies on word-of-mouth advertising from consultants and clients. We have something for everyone, and Arbonne offers a 45-day money back guarantee, so if someone doesn’t love something, they can return it or exchange it through me – it’s convenient, easy and absolutely no risk!
As a consultant, are you able to give feedback to Arbonne concerning products you or your clients have used, and are you able to send ideas for a new product?

What product is your personal favorite?
My favorite is the RE9 Advanced Anti-aging skincare line. That’s the first line I tried, and it just keeps getting better and better! Arbonne also has a fantastic nutrition line. Ahh…definitely the ocean. My mom grew up at the Jersey Shore, and we spend our summers there every year, so that’s where I feel closest to her. My sanctuary is also spending time with my husband and family and friends, being able to be there with them whenever they want or need me to be. That’s the greatest gift that my life with Arbonne has given me, not just financially, but also the time to spend with those that I love.
