Cornelia Seckel
Consulting & Community Outreach
CORNELIA is the publisher of ART TIMES, a publication she co-founded with Raymond J. Steiner (1933-2019) in 1984, serving the cultural corridor of the Northeast. ART TIMES was in print through the Summer 2016 issue and is now exclusively online with essays about the arts, short fiction, poetry, opportunities for creatives, and an extensive cultural events calendar.
Cornelia’s work has always been with people and information - connecting people with themselves, other individuals and organizations - whether teaching secondary school, working at crisis intervention centers, working as a career counselor, and now as a publisher.
Currently, Cornelia is affiliated with the following organizations: National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) as Honorary Vice President and Board member; Board member of the Woodstock Jewish Congregation; Artists Fellowship, Inc.; AWE: Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs; Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, NYC; Salmagundi Club; and NOW.
Statement: I admire creativity. Beginning something from an idea is a great gift of perseverance and courage. I am happy to support and lend my energy, expertise, and experience as a publisher of an arts magazine for over 38 years. I particularly appreciate Sanctuary’s use of social media that allows for so many additional ways of reaching an audience. Sanctuary explores numerous aspects of life and living and is doing so with talented writers and editors. I am proud to be part of the team.
