Kerry Zacharia has lived and worked in London all of her life. She is a self-taught artist who is guided by instinct and intuition. Her London-inspired art includes portrayals of iconic landmarks, and she has exhibited her art in both group and solo shows throughout the city.
Kerry enjoys the transparency and fluidity of ink as well as the fast-drying component while using this medium. Working with ink is quite unforgiving, but mistakes are generally accepted as part of the creation process. Kerry uses acrylic inks similarly to how an artist uses paint, mixing and diluting to achieve her desired effect. Kerry is proud to present her first central London solo art exhibition titled “London in Different Dimensions.” This exhibition will be hosted by The Salvation Army at their International Headquarters within their Gallery 101 space (101 Queen Victoria Street, Central London) from Tuesday, March 20th through Friday, April 6th. A private view will be held from 5:30pm to 8:30pm on March 21st, and the public exhibition will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday). In conjunction with this exhibition, Kerry will be running a fundraising event to raise money and awareness in support of the great work The Salvation Army does for the community. People engaging in her fundraising event will receive a generous discount on her original art. Kerry will be available most days during the show. STAY TUNED...
Since 2016, Kerry has been working on a new body of art. This series of thought-provoking, contemporary pieces is largely inspired from an inner spiritual place
relating to family and faith. She plans to launch her new paintings in late 2019/early 2020. |
