LUBNA IRFAN: Poet
I'm waking up to the best of times © Lubna Irfan I’m waking up to the best of times In a shallow light In a frozen dream In streets discreetly pulsating with Tales of Lust In the ceiling fans of the days of winter I’m waking up on the other side Where light is not the only way And shallow colors run deep in our veins And sometimes just in rhythm of your breath |
Collisions
© Lubna Irfan Here we are at the end of love
About to fall off the cliff Off light and sorrow Saying things that haven't been said before Flying to a place Which is being created for us, right now For us to undo it's soil by our naked feet and soul We're on a highway and we're on a stairway We collide into a truck and we collide into a tree And stars splash up near us We collide into each other And we're on the way At times I can only think of your warmth, Pulsating inside me, Making the space, pushing the boundaries and growing And at others Only of the distant lands of your eyes Where stars bloom on branches And the night showers scents of another life |
